Miear Receives Chamber Award
Superintendent Recognized by Community Organizations

MCPS Superintendent Mark Miear was recognized with the Distinguished Government Leader Award by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. Miear was recognized for his leadership of the school division, including the development of an innovative strategic plan and supporting the community by feeding more than 600,000 meals to children via the school bus delivery system from March through August 2020.

The School Division of Innovation recognition honors school divisions that are designing and implementing alternatives to traditional instructional practices and school structures that improve student learning and promote college and career readiness, and good citizenship.
